Jakarta (Antara) - Publicly listed State owned toll road developer and operator PT Jasa Marga, said its toll road projects between  Bawen  and Salatiga in Central Java is expected to come on line  in 2016.

The 17.6 kilometer toll road project built by Jasa Marga's subsidiary PT Trans Marga Jateng (PT TMJ) is expected to be operational before Idul Fitri in 2016, Jasa Marga corporate secretary David Wijayatno said.

"The section of Bawen-Salatiga is part of the  Semarang-Solo toll road," David Wijayatno said here on Monday.

He said construction will start by the end of June after PT TMJ wrapped up the process of tender and contractors are named for the project in six packages.

The process of tender began in February 2015 and the tender winners are PT Adhi Karya for package 3.1 of Bawen-Polosiri, PT PP for package 3.2 of Polosiri-Sidorejo), and PT Nindya Karya in joint operation with PT Jaya Konstruksi for package 3.3D of Sidorejo-Tengaran.

The consultants include PT Eskapindo Matra in cooperation with PT Dessa Cipta Rekayasa for package 3.1, PT Yodya Karya for package 3.2   in cooperaito0n with  PT Mitrapacific Consulindo International and PT Perentjana Djaja for package 3.3D.

The project with the package of 3.3B (Sidorejo-Tengaran) is still in the process of tender by PT TMJ and the process of tender for construction and consultant for the packages  3.3 A and 3.3 C (Sidorejo-Tengaran) is held by the government.

"Currently land clearing for the  Semarang-Solo toll road project is almost finished reaching 96.78 percent," David said.

Meanwhile, land clearing is in progress for the Salatiga-Boyolali toll road project .

Land clearing has been completed only for 47 percent of the 24.4 kilometer toll road project between Salatiga and Boyolali.

Similarly land clearing is still in process finishing  only  46.48 percent of the 7.64 kilometer toll road between Boyolali  and Kartasura.

"Our hope is that the all sections of the Semarang-Solo toll road project would be operational  by the end of 2017," David added.

He said the Semarang-Solo toll road project itself is part of Trans Java toll road project strategically important for the economic development in Central Java.

The 72.64 km long toll road will cost around Rp7.3 trillion handled by PT Trans Marga Jateng , which is 60% owned by Jasa Marga and 40 percent by PT Sarana Pembangunan Jawa Tengah (BUMD Jateng).

"We still hope to build more toll road projects either by taking part in tender held by the government or by acquiring toll road projects  from other contractors that could not carry out their projects as scheduled.(*)
