Jakarta (Antara) - Former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono believed President Joko Widodo will solve the conflict between the National Police and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). "I think this matter is not complicated and the solution is already there. I believe President Jokowi will be able to solve this," Yudhoyono stated on his official twitter account, @SBYudhoyono, on Wednesday. The former President posted nine tweets. In one of the tweets, he said many people have asked him to help solve the KPK-Police polemics. However, he has restrained himself so as to avoid worsening the situation. "Despite many people asking me, I would rather not see Pak Jokowi. It could give an impression that I try to intervene in this case," Yudhoyono stated. The former President also highlighted various arguments that both parties raised against each other. "Now the situation has become worse; one can attack another in the media and people will never know whether the statements are true or false," Yudhoyono tweeted. Yudhoyono called on all parties concerned to clarify their arguments so as to maintain people's trust. "Remember leaders, government officials, law enforcement officials, and political parties need people's trust. Hence, everybody needs to clarify their arguments in the media. Tell the truth," Yudhoyono concluded in his tweet. (*)
