Jakarta (Antara) - The questioning of Police chief candidate Commissioner General Budi Gunawan by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and of KPK commissioner Bambang Widjojanto by the police should be conducted in a closed-door meeting, an observer said. Professor of politics of the University of Indonesia (UI) Arbi Sanit said here on Sunday the questioning of Budi Gunawan and Bambang should be conducted in a closed-door investigation to help maintain the images of the two institutions. "I think, a closed-door investigation is more wiser to maintain the images of the two law enforcer institutions," he said after a discussion on politics. He said that there had been many questions from the people but no explanations based on facts had been provided, prompting the emergence of many opinions. "If it is difficult to carry out a transparent legal process, the process should go ahead but be carried out within the two institutions," he said. (*)
