Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar (Antara) - Indonesian president Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with Indian prime minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the 25th ASEAN Summit here on Thursday.
At the meeting President Joko Widodo offered an investment opportunity to India in the field of coal and defense equipment.
"Indonesia and India have been involved in a lot of trade and investment and just now we offered further development of our industries in India or the other way round," President Joko Widodo said.
About other cooperation potentials President Joko Widodo said we only talked about coal and defense industries while we had no exclusive cooperation in the maritime field.
Prime minister Modi on the occasion congratulated President Joko Widodo for his election to be Indonesia's 7th president replacing former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
"I have already sent a written congratulatory message to President Joko Widodo but it was an honor for me to be able to convey the greeting personally now," he said. (*)
