Jakarta (Antara) - The House of Representatives (DPR) Commission XI will soon elect five of 63 candidates, who had taken a fit and proper test, for State Audit Board (BPK) members. "The names of the five candidates will be announced on Monday (September 15)," Deputy Chairman of the House Commission XI A Timo Pangerang said after chairing a fit and proper test on the 63 candidates at the parliament building here on Thursday. To elect the five BPK members, the House Commission XI will consider the integrity, competence, and feasibility of each candidate, he said. "All factions in the DPR have considered and assessed the qualifications of each candidate during the fit and proper test," he stated. Each faction has its own criteria and rules to elect BPK members for the 2014-2019 period, he explained. He said the factions will also propose their respective nominees, who will be discussed at a meeting of the House Commission XI to elect five candidates. All the 63 candidates come from different professions, and include politicians, accountants, tax consultants, and academics, he noted. "Every candidate is good, so we will likely find it difficult to select," he remarked. The fit and proper test began last Thursday (September 4) and ended on Thursday evening (September 11).
