Jakarta (Antara) - Future cabinet ministers must be clean and have integrity, noted an anti-graft official.
"There are a lot of smart people, but only few have integrity," Adnan Pandu Praja, the deputy chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), stated at a gathering of journalists here on Thursday.
Adnan stated that besides having integrity, the ministers must also be clean and have no records of involvement in human rights issues.
Another requirement is that they must also be able to account for their wealth, he remarked.
Joko Wododo and Jusuf Kalla are currently working to select suitable figures for their future cabinet following their recent election as president and vice president to replace current President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyno and Vice President Boediono, respectively.
Using their official Facebook account, the Jokowi Center has invited the general public to participate by proposing candidates for the cabinet.
In their proposals, so far, KPK Chairman Abraham Samad has been recommended as one of the prospective candidates for the post of home affairs minister along with Central Kalimantan Governor Agustin Teras Narang and Gadjah Mada University rector Pratikno. (*) Reporting by Desca Lidya Natalia
