Padang, W Sumatra (Antara) - The Padang city immigration office in West Sumatra has investigated seven Chinese nationals for allegedly abusing their visit visas to work in South Solok District. "The seven, who have undergone questioning, are Song Kui (31), Hung Cong (29), Chen Xiahong (28), Liu Jian (31), Liu Renfei (45), Chen Sanfheng (50), and Pan Weisheng (56)," head of the immigration office Yayan Indriana said here on Tuesday. The South Solok social service, manpower, and transmigration office had handed over the Chinese nationals to the immigration office on Sunday. "According to the South Solok social service, manpower, and transmigration office, they had used visit visas to work in South Solok District," he said. He stated that the immigration office will cooperate with the South Solok District police in investigating the identities of the Chinese nationals. Based on the preliminary results of the investigation, the Chinese nationals had extended their visas in Jakarta to be able to work in South Solok District, he revealed. "The Chinese nationals have been proven guilty of violating article 122 letter a of Law No. 6 of 2011 on immigration by abusing their visas to work," he noted.
