Sukabumi, West Java (Antara) - At least 52 little boys in Citamiang subdistrict, Sukabumi city, have reportedly become victims of sexual assaults allegedly conducted by a pedophile named Emon (24), police said. "Up till now, the parents of 52 children in Citamiang district have reported their cases to the police. So far we have conducted medical checks to 39 boys where seven among them got injured in their bottom part," Chief of Criminal Affairs of Sukabumi Police Precinct Adjunct Commissioner Sulaeman said here on Sunday. He said the police had detained the alleged pedophile, Emon, and that the case is still being investigated with the possibility of more suspects. "During the questioning process, a victim said he was assaulted by someone else, not Emon. We are still investigating whether there is another pedophile," Sulaeman added. Earlier it was reported that an 11-year old boy (US) died at his home in Citamiang Subdistrict last February for an alleged sexual assault by pedophile Emon, who was arrested recently for serial sexual abuses. "When he came home from a trip to Citamiang hot spring US complained his bottom part was hurt. A few days later the child could not go to the toilet, his body temperature was also rising. We took him to the hospital for a few days but decided to take alternative medication due to lack of money to pay the hospital," the victim`s aunt Ya said. According to Ya, she had reported the case to the local police and wished that the police would investigate it. Meanwhile Sukabumi Police Precinct Chief Senior Adjunct Commissioner Hari Santoso said he will investigate the death of US and see whether the incident was related to a sexual assault.
