Bandarlampung, Lampung - A 5.1-magnitude undersea earthquake shook Waropen district in Indonesia's easternmost province of Papua on Friday morning, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said.
The epicenter of the quake which struck at 06.26 a.m. was located 35 km southeast of Waropen or 3,349 km northeast of Jakarta at a depth of 11 km, head of the Kotabumi geophysics station in Lampung province Chrismanto said quoting a BMKG report.
The quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami, the agency said.(*)
