Jakarta - The burial of Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih, who passed away on Wednesday at 11.41 am at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, will be held at San Diego Cemetery, Kerawang, West Java, on Thursday morning. Endang had suffered from stage four lung cancer and had been hospitalized since March 20, 2012. The minister's condition became worse on April 1, 2012, and she had to undergo intensive medical treatment in the hospital's intensive-care unit. The news of Endang's death was conveyed by Deputy Health Minister Ali Gufron Mukhti. Her body will be taken to her family's house in Duren Sawit, Jakarta, before the burial the next day. Endang was suffering from lung cancer since October 2010 and had been undergoing treatment, both in Indonesia and abroad, for approximately one and a half years. (*)
