State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Rini Widyantini drew attention to three areas of focus in accelerating the government's digital transformation.
In a statement from her ministry here on Thursday, Widyantini noted that the three areas of focus are institutional affairs, planning and budgeting, as well as procurement or assignment mechanisms.
"It requires the strengthening of the institutions and governance of digital transformation, including the INA Digital, as the executing agency," she remarked.
According to the minister, institutional and governance strengthening is essential for debottlenecking or finding solutions to cross-pillar digital transformation problems earlier.
She underscored the need for coordination with the Ministry of National Development Planning to include the government's digital transformation as a national priority in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
Widyantini affirmed that if it is included in the RPJMN, then the relevant ministries and agencies will adopt the priority digital transformation program in their strategic and work plans.
Furthermore, the ongoing preparation phase for the 2025-2029 RPJMN presents an ideal opportunity to accelerate and integrate the government's digital transformation initiatives.
She assessed that the transition to the new government can support the acceleration of digital transformation.
In addition to planning through the Ministry of National Development Planning, budgeting by the Ministry of Finance is also a focus.
Widyantini remarked that the Ministry of Finance can allocate and consolidate budgeting to support the established priority programs, especially those related to the government's digital transformation.
Meanwhile, regarding the third focus of procurement and assignment, the minister underlined the need to revise the price standards that are in accordance with the market conditions to attract the best talent.
Apart from that, creating procurement or assignment mechanisms that are flexible is also deemed necessary to accommodate needs for the development of priority systems.
Lastly, she also highlighted the need to update Presidential Regulation Number 95 of 2018 on Electronic-Based Government Systems to support the government's digital transformation.
