Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was scheduled to grill Muhammad Nazaruddin here on Thursday.
"Later, at one pm," Johan Budi, a KPK spokesman told the press early Thursday morning.
Nazaruddin arrived at the KPK office at 10.25 am local time.
KPK Chairman Busyro Mugoddas on Wednesday (Aug 17) said M Nazaruddin would be grilled on Thursday at 10 am local time.
The investigation would focus on Nazaruddin's alleged involvement in bribery linked to a SEA Games athletes' dormitory project in Palembang, South Sumatra.
In the prosecution's charge sheet against former Marketing Director of PT Anak Negeri Mindo Rosalinda Manulang (Rosa) and Marketing Manager of TP Duta Graha Indah (DGI) Muhammad El Idris, Nazaruddin was mentioned as the person who had managed the fees for the success of PT DGI in winning the bid of the project worth over Rp191 billion.
The prosecution in the Corruption Court (Tipikor) recently said Nazaruddin had received the largest portion of the fee. On the charge, however, it was not mentioned whether the fee also flowed to other legislators, including Chairman of Democrat Party Anas Urbaningrum, who had been mentioned several times by Nazaruddin in his hideouts as a recipient of part of the fee.
The former treasurer of the Democratic Party was apprehended in Colombia, and repatriated by a joint team of the KPK, the police, immigration, and the foreign ministry, on Saturday (Aug 13).
Nazaruddin, the former treasurer of the ruling Democrat Party and legislator, is being held at the Mobil Brigade detention center in Kelapa Dua, Depok, since early of Sunday (Aug 14).
Before Muhammad Nazaruddin return, he called the country's newspapers and TV news stations to say that he was ready to expose corruption elsewhere within the governing party. However, since he is in jail, he has been very quiet.
