Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has issued Ministerial Decree No. 22 of 2022 on the Membership Structure and Agenda Matrix for the G20 Sherpa Track Group.

"Today, the minister has issued Ministerial Decree No. 22 of 2022, which will regulate the membership composition, starting from the people in charge, the members of each working group, chair, and the co-chair," the ministry's Secretary Susiwijono Moegiarso informed here on Friday.

In addition to the committee's composition, the decree also has an agenda matrix consisting of schedules, priority issues, and expected outcomes, Moegiarso said.

"With this, we hope that all ministries and institutions, and other countries, have certainty that the (Sherpa Track agenda) schedules will be approximately the same with what is in the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (decision) that leads Sherpa track," he added.

Furthermore, Moegiarso pointed out that the decree has also scheduled 10 meetings at the Working Group (WG) level, one initiative that would later become WG, and 10 Engagement Groups (EG).

The WG and EG priority agenda will support the three priority agendas of Indonesia's G20 Presidency related to global health architecture, digital-based economic transformation, and energy transition, he said.

The decree also will regulate the coordination among WG and EG events until the G20 Summit on November 15–16, 2022, as well as monitor event reports, he added.

"The decree is a guide for the Sherpa Track events until the summit on November 15–16," Moegiarso explained.

The COVID-19 Handling Task Force has also issued Special Circular Letter No. 6 on bubble system health protocols for the entire series of G20 events.  (*)
