The "new normal" does not only alter the way we face daily health and hygiene concerns, but also how we prepare our youth in productive age to be ready to work amidst the new environment.

The important skills that need to be owned by the young talents of today are digital capability and situational leadership.

In building a young work force that is ready to work into the new normal, Danone Indonesia conducted Reshaping Way of Working – Accelerating Digital Capability in New Normal seminar aimed for young graduates who are ready to emerge into the workplace.

For the digital seminar (on 3/9), Danone Indonesia partners with Kampus Update, digital platform which offers various information related to education and career

Connie Ang, CEO Danone Specialized Nutrition Indonesia who was the main guest of the seminar explained, "The pandemic has significantly changed the way we work. We have to work from different places across the world, we have to keep guarding our business, all while holding a responsibility to protect the health and safety of our employees. Danone Specialized Nutrition (SN) Indonesia believes that preparing youth for this adapting and volatile workplace should be done as early as possible. Hence, we are delighted to meet young talents who will be the leaders of their own workplace."

Danone Indonesia has the mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible.

Especially for Danone SN Indonesia during this health crisis, the mission has become more relevant than ever because the society has become more aware on the needs and the urgency of good nutrition for health.

During the pandemic, the workplace is transforming, including at Danone SN Indonesia. The company which focuses on nutrition keeps providing essential nutrition for mothers and children, while protecting the health and safety of its employee.

Relations to employees, consumers, health experts, to business partners, has almost fully depended towards the digital technology.

"We cannot predict the future. However, if we reflect upon this situation, one of the most sought after skills for future work force are situational leadership and digital adaptability. This includes leadership in analyzing a situation, responding to complex and uncertain situation, new ways of working, and co-creation with partners to bring positive impact," Connie said.

Someone does not have to be coming from certain major or universities. Because the most important thing is how they can utilize both time and technology effectively, analyzing the root cause of a problem, keep learning and mitigating future challenges, taking risks, doing creative collaboration and making positive impact to the society.

Connie added, “Another important values which our youth needs are also a big curiosity and willingness to learn.

The most important thing is not how many times you fail, but how fast we can rise from it. We also cannot neglect the humility to keep growing, learning, and asking inputs from others."

In preparing leaders of the future, Danone Indonesia just opened Management Trainee recruitment process, Danone MT STAR 2021, from 1 -15 September 2020.

All graduates with bachelor and master's degree with less than two years of working experience can register to this program. For further information, please visit www.dancommunity.co.id/id/mt-star or @dancommunityid on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
