Surabaya, E Java (Antaranews jatim) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has said all pieces of land in the country will have certificate in 2025 through the Complete Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL).
Last year, the government issued 5 million land certificates and this year the target is 7 million through the PTSL program, the president said here on Thursday after handing over land certificates for land owners in Surabaya, Gresik, Sidoarjo and Mojokerto.
"This year 7 million land certificates would be issued and next year the target would be higher at 9 million, all over the country," he said.
In the following years the target should be higher, he said, adding at least 10 million certificate should be issued every year, that in 2025 all pieces of land would have certificate.
"The land certificates could be used as collateral for bank loans to finance business. But be careful in using loans from bank otherwise you may lose your land if you fail to repay the debt," he said.
Minister for Agrarian Affairs and Layout Sofyan Djalil said the certificate is free, adding, the people need only to pay for the stamps.
He said the PTSL program facilitate the people in securing land certificate, adding, "the people do not have to wait for months or years for land certificate." (*)
