Situbondo, E Java, March 30 (Antaranews Jatim) - Investors from the United States have planned to immediately invest to develop marine tourism in Pasir Putih, Situbondo District, East Java, based on the concept of combining the tourism and health sectors.
"We are interested in investing in the Pasir Putih tourism attraction, as this is a good and beautiful place that also has the potential to build a clinic (hospital)," Chief Executive Officer of the Stern Resources (SR) Group, New York, Hartadinata Harianto stated here on Friday.
Harianto noted that after receiving information on potential investment opportunities in Situbondo District from District Head Dadang Wigiarto, the investor chose Pasir Putih Village, Bungatan Sub-district, to be the main location for investment to develop tourism and to construct hospitals in the Pantura line.
If executed or managed optimally, Pasir Putih Village's tourism potential will be known across the world.
"Hence, we, from the SR Group, based in New York, are ready to invest in Pasir Putih's tourism along with offering hospital facilities," he noted.
Dadang Wigiarto noted that other alternative areas for investment in Situbondo, include coastal and mountain tourism, such as in Rengganis, Mount Argopuro, Sumbermalang District.
"These US investors are interested in investing in marine tourism in Pasir Putih, as they also operate hospitals internationally," he stated.
An investor from the SR Group Institution visited the location to witness first-hand and identify locations to build hospitals and develop tourism in Pasir Putih, Situbondo District, East Java. (*)
