Surabaya (Antara Jatim) - AirAsia Indonesia is set to introduce a Surabaya-Bangkok flight route in September, to cater to the rising demand for a direct flight between the two cities.
The airline will serve the route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, President Director of AirAsia Indonesia Sunu Widyatmoko said here on Monday.
AirAsia will serve the route using an Airbus A320 plane with a capacity to carry 180 passengers, he added.
"All customers can obtain tickets for the Surabaya-Bangkok flight at Rp804,000 from today (July 27)," Widyatmoko pointed out.
The president director of the airline is optimistic that the new flight route will be able to cater to the high demand for a direct flight between Surabaya and Bangkok. (*)
