Batam, Riau Islands (Antara) - Transport Minister Ignasius Jonan said the case of two Singapore ships and nine crew members will be legally processed.
The two ships SB Sea Sparrow I owned by Searching Offshore PTE. LTD and SB DM.55 owned by DM Sea Logistic PTE LTD.were detained after found illegally operating in Indonesian waters.
"They will face legal process," Jonan said when inspecting the two ships flying foreign flags in Batam on Friday.
He said they would not be sunk like poaching fishing boats, adding there was no pressure or protest including from the Singapore government.
He said the government would bring the case to court although the Singapore government disowned one of the ship.
"Recognizing or not , does not matter . They have crew (to be questioned)," he said.
The owners of the two ships are in Singapore, he added.
SB Sea Sparrow I was arrested for operating in Indonesian waters without proper document, and SB DM 55 was caught red handed committing ship to ship transaction without official document. (*)
