Bandarlampung, Lampung (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale shook southwest of Maluku Tenggara district on Sunday morning, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The epicenter of the earthquake which struck at 06.39 western Indonesia time was in Banda Sea 83 km southwest of Maluku Tenggara or 487 km southeast of the Maluku provincial capital Ambon at a depth of 75 km, head of the Kotabumi geophysics station in Lampung province Yuharman said quoting a BMKG report.
