Jakarta (Antara) - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Chairman Zulkifli Hasan has praised the recent meeting held between President-elect Joko Widodo and Golkar Party Chairman Aburizal Bakrie, calling it a positive development ahead of the presidential inauguration. "That is good. The inauguration must become a momentum for us to unite," he stated at the parliamentary compound here on Wednesday while referring to the meeting held on Tuesday. The nation has been divided following the victory of Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo in the presidential election on July 9. Golkar Party is one of the political parties that supported Joko Widodo's rival Prabowo Subianto in the election. After the meeting with Bakrie, Jokowi revealed that he also plans to meet other political party leaders, especially those grouped in the coalition that supported Prabowo. Zulkifli stated that a meeting with the party leaders such as Prabowo's running mate and also the National Mandate Party (PAN) Chairman Hatta Rajasa, the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) Chairman Prabowo Subianto, and PAN's Advisory Board Chairman Amien Rais will help to mollify the situation and will, in turn, help to convince the investors to continue investing in the country.
