Magetan, E.Java (Antara) - Forty fighter aircraft from Iswahjudi Air Force Base located in Magetan, East Java, will enliven the Indonesian National Army's 69th commemoration ceremony at the Eastern Fleet Command Headquarters, Surabaya, East Java, on October 7, 2014. Commander of Iswahjudi Air Force Base Air Commodore Donny Ermawan remarked here on Friday that the fighter aircraft will showcase Indonesian military's weapons by conducting a flypast during the commemoration. The forty fighter aircraft that will take part in the commemoration are nine F-16 Fighting Falcon, nine Sukhoi, twelve Hawk, and ten T-50i Golden Eagle. "We will continue practicing the flypast until the D-day of the commemoration," he noted, adding that the air crew and the fighter aircraft will be prepared to properly execute the flypast show. In addition, the air squadron has also assessed the air route to ensure proper understanding of the holding points and check points for each aircraft. The air route must be reviewed several times to ensure that there is accuracy in the flight time and movement of each aircraft from takeoff, making a flight formation to the flypast demonstration, and returning to the Iswahjudi Air Force Base, Air Commodore Donny added.
