Surabaya, E Java (Antara) - PT Energi Agro Nusantara (Enero) has won a contract to supply fuel grade bio-ethanol to a buyer in Singapore. The subsidiary of state-owned plantation company PT Perkebunan Nusantara X will export 12,000 kiloliters of fuel grade bio-ethanol to Vermogen Oil Pte. Ltd. in six shipments from September, 2014 to February, 2015, based on a contract signed here on Friday. The agreement was signed by Enero President Director Agus Budi Hartono and Hendra Ali of PT Bumi Makmur Bersatu which represents Vermogen Oil in the country. "The sales contract is the second won by PT Enero after it signed in Juli 2014 with a buyer in the Philippines,"Agus Budi Hartono said giving no detail of its first export. PT Enero chief commissioner and finance director of PTPN X Dolly P Pulungan said the exports to Singapore and to the Philippines proved that the quality of fuel grade bio-ethanol produced by Enero is well recognized internationally. "This is expected to ensure and encourage producers of oil fuels (BBM) in the country to use locally produced bio-ethanol for blending with oil fuel to reduce BBM imports," Dolly said. Enero has a bio-ethanol factory in the Gempolkrep complex of sugar factory in Mojokerto, East Java. The factory produces high quality fuel grade bio-ethanol with a purity of up to 99.5 percent , environmentally friendly and high octane content, RON (Research Octane Number) 120. The factory has a production capacity of around 30,000 kiloliters per year using molasses as the basic material. The factory is supplied with around 120,000 tons of molasses per year from the sugar factory of PTPN X. (*)
