Jakarta (Antara) - The Education University of Indonesia (UPI) Bandung and the University of Tampere (UTA) Tampere in Finland, had agreed to a cooperation program in education. The cooperation program will include an exchange of faculty and teaching staff as well as lecture materials. "The cooperation program was marked by a memorandum of understanding, which was signed by the rectors of both the universities," Indonesian Embassy spokesperson Made Priyadi Sentanajaya said on Thursday. Professor Sunaryo Kartadinata signed as a representative of the UPI Bandung, while Professor Kaija Holli was the representative of the UTA Tampere. Made Priyadi explained that the two universities will also cooperate by exchanging information and publications materials; joint conferences and joint academic programs; and cooperation in the field of research and publications. "The MoU is valid from the day it was signed until the next five years," Made Priyadi added. This cooperation agreement will improve the cooperation in education between universities in Indonesia and Finland. "Cooperation in the field of education is one of the main areas of cooperation that is being intensified to improve the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Finland," Made Priyadi said.
