Jakarta (Antara) - Representative from the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) signed an anti-corruption MoU with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), here on Friday. The signing of MoU was done by the Minister of State Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan and chairman of Supreme Audit Agency Hadi Purnomo at the ministry's office in Central Jakarta, to state the ministry's commitment for transparency in every project bids held by state owned enterprises in the future. "On every project bid in the future, we will share detailed information to the BPK such as parties related to the project bid, payment system, etc. This policy will be implemented starting this year," Minister Dahlan assured. The minister added the government was also considering obliging a non-cash transfer for every project bid held by state owned enterprises. The policy was necessary to avoid the system of bribery that is often resorted to by subcontractor companies that want to win the project bid held by state owned enterprises, similar to what happened earlier in the development of Hambalang sports center in West Java province. Meanwhile Chairman of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Hadi Purnomo appreciated the move toward signing of MoU with the State Owned enterprises Ministry saying that it was in line with good corporate governance spirit. "This MoU about project transparency is important considering there is a lot of money involved in the project bids by the state owned enterprises," he explained.
