Manado, N Sulawesi (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has confirmed to open the second Indonesian District Government Association's (APKASI) International Trade and Summit at the Jakarta International Expo, on April 14. APKASI's Chairman Isran Noor said during APKASI National Meeting in Manado, North Sulawesi, on Sunday, that President Yudhoyono had been scheduled to officially open the Second APKASI International Trade and Summit (AITIS) 2014. According to Isran, AITIS aims to promote all districts' potential as trade and investment destinations on sectors of agriculture, energy, marine, tourism, and creative products. "Besides from domestic, We also invited some foreigner potentials buyers and investors to come and see the exhibition and business forum at AITIS," Isran said. Isran, who is also the District's Head of East Kutai, Kalimantan, added the AITIS 2014 will be held on April 14 to 17 and also participated by the Regional-Owned Companies from districts and cities throughout Indonesia, as well as foreign companies from ASEAN, China, Australia, Middle-east, Europe, and United States have confirmed to participate. "Several foreign chamber of commerce and industry have confirmed to participate too," he said. Isran stated, since the first AITIS plan, all head of districts and mayors have been full supporting the event as its strategic value to promote their region to the national and international business communities.
