Jakarta (Antara) - The Indonesian rupiah closed stable gaining slightly against the US dollar in inter-bank transactions on Wednesday. Rupiah traded at the level of 12,221 per dollar gaining 41 points from 12,262 earlier. Financial market analyst from Bank Mandiri, Ruly Arya Wisnubroto, said rupiah tended to strengthen but not significant. Economic data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) early this month still had positive impact, but the Fed's decision to trim its massive financial stimulus still keeps pressure on rupiah, Ruly said. Rupiah movements are shadowed by capital outflow from developing nations as a result of the Fed's policy, he said. "Rupiah would remain stable for some time at the level of 12,050--12,300 per dollar," he predicted. Monex Investindo Futures' analyst Zulfirman Basir said investors are still awaiting the decision of Bank Indonesia leaders in their monthly meeting on Thursday amid economic slowdown and risingt inflation .
