Makassar, South Sulawesi - South and West Sulawesi police chief Ins. Gen. Mudji Waluyo passed order to guard all houses of worships against possible Molotov cocktail attacks. The order followed a series of such attacks on Christian churches in this South Sulawesi capital city. "I have passed orders to guard houses of worships after a series of such attack in the past several weeks," Mudji said here on Thursday. On Thursday three churches were the target of Molotov cocktails attacks in the city. The attacks took place very early in the morning with the first on two Indonesian Christian Churches (GKI) and the Toraja Klasis Chucrch at Jl. Pettarani. Mudji said he has coordinated with the military and the regional administration to discuss ways how to stop the terrorist attacks. He said he had also passed order to help reactivate neighborhood security system. "Police will provide security in each church in cooperation with the church officials and Babinsa ( non-commissioned law enforcement officers affiliated with civilian administration)," he said. He said police have set up a team to carry out investigation into the arson of a number of churches in Makassar and hunt for the perpetrators.
