Jakarta (Antara) - Indonesia's ongoing rainy season will peak during January and February 2015 period, according to the Geophysics, Meteorology and Climatology Agency (BMKG).
"Weather forecast for the coming three months indicates that the rainy season in Java will peak during the January-February 2015 period," BMKG Chief Andi Eka Sakya said here on Tuesday.
He predicted that the season will receive rainfalls up to 400 millimeters per month.
Andi explained that although the rainy season will peak in January-February, some 96 of the 342 weather season zones have started getting rains.
"But not all of Indonesia has entered the rainy season; some areas are still in a transition period," Andi noted. (*)
