Madiun, East Java - A forensic laboratory team from the National Police Headquarters here on Sunday conducted an investigation at a rented house where terrorist suspect Agus Anton Figian had been arrested. "The investigation started at around 8am. Local police and military (TNI) personnel only safeguarded the location," Madiun resort police chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Adi Deriyan Jayamarta told newsmen here on Sunday. He said another team might also conduct an investigation in the house where the suspect and his wife have lived so far in the village of Sewulan. "But I do not know when it began and how it was carried out," he added. Following a raid on the rented house the police discovered six detonators, three 3-kg gas cylinders that had been modified to become bombs and two bomb-making manuals. Two of the bombs had been detonated by the police while another one sent to the National Police Headquarters for further investigation. Agus Anto Figian was seized by police anti-terror squad Densus 88 Friday night along with others in other cities such as Jakarta, Bogor in West Java and Solo in Central Java. Another suspect arrested in Madiun is Warso who was seized upon arrival at a bus terminal here from Jakarta on Friday evening. Agus's wife, Rahayu Ningsih, said she had not been formally informed about his husband's arrest from the police. The mother of four also said she still lost contact with her husband so far. "I do not know if the man arrested by the police is really my husband or not. I do not believe if my husband is involved in terrorism. I am not able to contact him until now," she said. Agus and Rahayu are both graduates of state University of Jember in East Java. They got married in 2001 and after graduating they moved to Sewulan to continue Rahayu's family's furniture business.(*)
