Denpasar, Bali - A major quake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale jolted Bali early on Tuesday , but no report of casualty and damage to property on the tourist island. "I felt the tremor at 02.23 local time as I was watching the television. The tremor awoke the neighbors but it caused no panic," Made Daya, a resident of the Grand Cori complex in Denpasar said. The meteorology and geophysics office said the epicenter was in the sea 10 kilometer deep, 308 kilometers southwest of the city or 956 kilometers southeast of Jakarta. The meteorology office said the quake had no potential to trigger tsunami. (*)
