Pangkalan Bun, C Kalimantan - Delegations of Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam are expected to attend a regional meeting of the Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) which will take place here on October 5-6, MUI's spokesman said.
The MUI regional meeting will be participated in by around 300 participants from four provinces namely Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and the South Kalimantan, the organizing committee chairman, Ujang Iskandar, said here on Thursday.
According to him, several ministers among others Religious Affairs Minister Suryadharma Ali and State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan are also expected to attend the meeting.
Ujang Iskandar who is currently the regent of Kota Waringin Barat (Kobar) said that the city will do its best to hold the MUI regional meeting. (*)
