Indonesia's Ministry of Industry creates technological innovations to support the transformation of the green industry in line with President Prabowo Subianto's vision to reduce carbon emissions.

The ministry has prepared services such as Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) audits, verification of Domestic Component Levels (TKDN), green industry certification, testing, calibration, industrial technical guidance and assistance, consultation, and sales of Adaptive Monitoring Systems (AiMS) to accelerate decarbonization in the industrial sector.

On Saturday, the ministry's head of the industrial service standardization and policy agency (BSKJI), Andi Rizaldi, stated that the innovation was the contribution of the technical service unit (UPT) to strengthening the green industry and optimizing services.

One such example is the Semarang Center for Standardization and Industrial Pollution Prevention Services (BBSPJPPI), which is committed to expanding market access for services through innovation to be recognized and contribute to developing a sustainable industry.

"Those UPT under BSKJI must be able to make real contributions to strengthening the green industry and optimizing industrial services and our resources," Rizaldi remarked.

Head of BBSPJPPI Sidik Herman affirmed that as an effort to contribute to developing innovation in green industrial services, his side participated in the series of Electricity Connect 2024 events organized by the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI) on November 20-22, 2024, as an exhibitor.

In the activity, his side provided various services ranging from CEMS to TKDN verification to open access to a larger potential industrial service market.

"Becoming an exhibitor in such an event is our strategic step in opening access to a larger potential service market and is expected to be an effective platform to showcase our excellence and boost our contribution to the industry," Herman noted.

In addition, Head of the BSKJI Green Industry Center of the Ministry of Industry Apit Pria Nugraha emphasized the importance of the manufacturing sector upholding the principles of green industry focused on resource efficiency and effectiveness, environmental functions, and benefits to the community.

"The implementation of green industry principles can refer to the Green Industry Standards (SIH)," he remarked.
