Gaza (ANTARA/Xinhua-0ANA) - Israeli airplanes carried out an airstrike in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday after militants fired missiles into Israel, witnesses and security sources said.
The airplanes fired two rockets at a car wash garage in northern Gaza Strip, causing severe damage in the place and smashing windows of nearby houses, the witnesses said.
A woman was slightly wounded in the leg by a flying piece of glass, said Adham Abu Selmia, an emergency official.
The Israeli attack came shortly after two Palestinian missiles landed in Western Negev in Israel, causing light damage to a house.
Israeli media reports quoted Israeli officials as saying that they fear an increase in cross-border violence over the summer.
In April, Hamas, which controls Gaza, reached an agreement with other Palestinian groups to restrain and commit themselves again to a shaky ceasefire that has held since the end of Israel's major offensive here in January 2009.
