Jakarta (Antara) -- The Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, said that her ministry was cooperating with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to implement a moratorium on foreign used ships for fishing. "KPK officials will visit the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry to monitor its (the implementation of the moratorium) business processes," the minister stated here on Tuesday. Pudjiastuti issued Minister Regulation Number 56 of 2014 on the moratorium on fisheries businesses in Indonesia's territory of fisheries management. According to the regulation, the moratorium will be valid till April 30, 2015, and will apply to fishing vessels made overseas, which were earlier referred to as "ex-foreign ships." Pudjiastuti added that the regulation will be followed by a fisheries capture quota or permits for only certain months. (*)
