London (Antara) - Indonesia becomes partner country of Bauma 2013, the 30th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, in Munich, Germany. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fair on Monday in Munich, Public Works Minister Joko Kirmanto said the event was an important opportunity for Indonesia to promote its development to international community. In the Bauma Forum, the exhibitors, trade associations and business partners will present the latest product developments, trends and market analyses in the form of presentations, press conferences and panel discussions. Joko Kirmanto noted that Indonesia has a great deal of potential for business and investment opportunities in infrastructure, and therefore the fair was focusing on the growth market of the country. Indonesia became the partner country of ITB Berlin in March this year and again becoming the partner country of Bauma 2013 this month will certainly improve its image in the international community, Joko said. He added that Indonesia will take advantage from the fair to increase its network at global level and to promote sustainable infrastructure and mining development to improve its economy. With a significantly high economic growth and good political stability, the minister said Indonesia would have a big potential for business and investment opportunity in infrastructure. Indonesian Student Day was part of the fair on Tuesday when the Indonesian students in Germany held a meeting with the leaders of German industries in the field of construction, machinery, and heavy equipment. Then on Wednesday, April 17, a full-day seminar on infrastructure and mining will be conducted in the hall C2 with several high-ranked Indonesian and German speakers. (*)
